Robert Gill of Charles County, MD

John Gill  of England, settled in Maryland, married Catherine Parridere, a Huegenot

Robert Gill of Charles Co., MD, will of 29 Oct. 1777 proved  19 May 1778.  His widow, Lydia Wood Gill,  in 1791 deeded property to her sons Robert Gill and Henry Gill of Charles Co., MD, and to her son Charles Gill of Loudon Co., VA The Maryland census of 1790 shows Lydia Gill living in Charles Co., MD with one male over 21, probably a son, and 10 slaves.  Three known sons of Robert Gill died 1777-8:

  1. Robert Gill of Charles Co., MD in 1791
  2. Henry Gill of Charles Co., MD in 1791
  3. Charles Gill born 1759 of Loudon Co., VA in 1791, marr. Rebecca Stevens.  Purchased first land in Bedford Co., VA in 1793, died there in 1838. (more to come on this line)

  5. Mary Gill
  6. Elizabeth Gill
  7. Catherine Gill
  8. Chloe Gill
  9. Lydia Gill
  10. Charity Gill
  11. Susanah Gill
