TAYLOR, WILLIAM; TAYLOR, LINCOLN (son of William) These were my dad's
uncle and cousin. There were other sons, and I think Lincoln lived in Ridgeland
which is now Jasper county. I would appreciate any information. My dad just
had his ninetieth birthday. A few years ago he realized that he didn't know
much about his mother, Mary Louise Taylor who was born in Guyton, GA, May
8, 1878, to Willliam Taylor and Alsaida (sp?) Ann Abigail Abbott Taylor.
This was Mr. Taylor's second wife. William Taylor, father of Lincoln, was
the only child of his first wife. Any information or connection would
be appreciated. I have no idea whether any of the family still lives or whether
they live in that area. 15 March 2001 |

TAYLOR- RIDGELAND, JASPER COUNTY, SC. I am searching for information
on the parents and siblings of WILLIAM HENRY TAYLOR (1866-1944). I believe
they are W F TAYLOR (b. c 1844 GA) and ALZADA (unknown maiden name) TAYLOR.
They were living in Effingham County, GA but moved to Jasper County very
soon after 1900. WILLIAM HENRY TAYLOR and CLARA PEVEY TAYLOR lived
in Ridgeland where they worked and raised their family. He was a prominent
business man and was always interested in the welfare of the city of Ridgeland.
After the death of Clara, William married Rosa Bennett Woods and the
three are buried in the Ridgeland Cemetery. I will be very grateful
for any information (family connections) you will share with me. I will,
of course, be delighted to share the information I have. 1 May 2007 |
