Archibald B. Campbell

Archibald B. Campbell formerly a native of Scotland was brought to South Carolina when he was a small lad. The family home being established in SC where he was reared and married. In the 1840's he moved to Madison County, Florida and in 1868 came to the neighborhood of Hillsborough County, now known as Pinellas County. He settled on a tract of government land of eghty acres and to the developement of the property devoted his attention throughout the remainder of his active business life.

While in SC he engaged in teaching school. Both he and his wife passed away in Hillsborourgh (Pinellas) County. He died in 1869 and his wife Keturah died in 1882. In their family were six sons and six daughters. Three of his sons, Alexander Valentine, Benjamin Franklin, and Francis Mallory were soldiers in a Florida regiment in the Civil War.

I am looking for more information on my family line. Starting with Keturah Rowell, born in Darlington SC on Sep 24,1813. Married Archibald Baldwin Campbell on Nov. 29,1835 in SC. They had 12 children George Washington Campbell, Idella Campbell, Alexander Valentine Campbell, Benjamin Franklin Campbell, Frances Marion, Eda Henretta, Hannah Maria, Laura Lenorca, Archibald Mallory, Tillman Aldalbert.
