Hancock

I am seeking info on Hancocks in Darlington District-specifically the father of Felix Hancock born about 1825 in NC (wife Nancy).

My maternal grandmother was Mrs. Frances Leitha "Fannie" HANCOCK ALEXANDER. Her parents were William Eli HANCOCK & the former Olivia BRYANT. Her paternal grandparents were Felix HANCOCK & the former Nancy LANGSTON. Don't know anything (dates, deaths, burials, nothing) about these ancestors of mine. Done extensive gathering of Alexander material, but have not been able to find much on my grandmother's folks. I do have info on my grandmother, born January 9, 1887 in Darlington County, and died November 20, 1961 in Florence County. She had a sister Laura who became a WARD. Grandmother may have been born in the section of Darlington County that became part of Lee.
