Looking for missing information re the descendants of Joseph OLIVER, Sr, of Darlington District, NC. Look at this outline descendant tree based on 1830 SC Darlington census, p.227. My line is descended from LUCINDA OLIVER, dau of John & Mary "Polly" OLIVER shown below. The remainder of this outline is my interpretation of the Census data. June 1998

Any information on Sam PARNELL. He is buried in Darlington. His wife's name was Margaret. He had one son Wesley PARNELL, who is buried in Arlington National Cemetary. His four daughters were: Viola, Agnes, Corrine & Lyda. I have been told that his mother's name was Charlotte GREENWOOD. July 1998

I am looking for the parents of Henrietta Rebecca PARNELL who married Robert GRAY. They can be found in the 1850 census of Columbia Co, GA. It is believed that she came from a promient family of Darlington Co and was disowned.

Isaac POLK, born 1780 in Darlington District, SC, was the son of Thomas POLK, Jr., and first wife Mary. What was Mary's maiden name, her parents? Ca1801-1802 Isaac POLK married Sarah WHITE. Who were Sarah's parents? Did she and Isaac follow her parents to Feliciana Parish, LA., ca 1806-1807.

James A. McEACHERN (1840-1874)lived Timmonsville, Darlington Co., wife's name Victoria HAM. James named wife, son [G.] Carson McEachern, G.M. McCown, and nephew James A. POWERS [b.1850] in his will. Estate record of John G. Powers, father of James A., was in 1869, with surety : E.B. Powers, A. D. Powers, Sarah Powers, and Louisa Morris. Would appreciate information on the Powers family and how they connect to James A. Powers. Will gladly share information.
