Edward Reynolds Senr to Edward Reynolds Junr

Know all men by these presents that I Edward Reynolds of the state and district aforesaid (______) that for and in consideration of the natural love good will and affection I have and do bear unto my son Edward Reynolds minor of the same place have given granted confirmed and released unto the said Edward Reynolds and his heirs forever a certain tract or parcel of land supposed to contain four hundred and forty five acres situated in said district on Sparrow Swamp and as the above plat represents with this exception known and considered that the said Edward Reynolds shall have the free use and enjoyment of the said premises during the term of my natural life (--also) my wife Winneford Reynolds shall have the free use of said premises during her life and at the death of the said Edward Reynolds and his wife Winneford Reynolds then the said Edward Reynolds Junr shall take full possession of the above premises to have and to hold all and singular the premises above mentioned unto the said Edward Reynolds Junr and his heirs forever against myself my heirs executors administrators and assigns from lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof given under my hand and seal this 25 of August 1849.

Atkinson personally appeared before me and after being duly sworn saith that he was present and saw Edward Reynolds Senr sign seal and deliver the within deed unto Edward Reynolds Junr for the use and purpose within mentioned and that he saw Zachariah Harris sign the same in the due execution thereof
December 11th 1849

Edward Reynolds Senr to John J. Reynolds Jr deed for land

Know all men by these presents that I Edward Reynolds Senr of the state and district aforesaid (_____) that for and in consideration of the Sum of five hundred dollars to me in hand Paid by John Reynolds Jr of the same (place) have granted bargained sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain sell and release unto the said John Reynolds Junr and his heirs forever a certain plantation or tract of land containing two hundred and fifty eight acres or the same more or less situtat in the said district on Bay Branch and hath such shapes and marks buttings and boundings as the above plat represents it being a part of one hundred and twenty tract originally unto Elizabeth (Sullivan) and J Horn to have and to hold all and singular the rights members hereditaments and appurtenances to the same premises belonging or in anywise incident thereto to have and to hold all and singular the premises above mentioned unto the said John Reynolds and his heirs forever clear of all incumbrances and I the said Edward Reynolds do by these presents warrant and forever defend the said premises unto the said John Reynolds his heirs and assigns against myself my heirs executors administrators and assigns and against every other person or persons whomever from lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof.
