Know all men by these presents that I, J. W. Beasley of said
County and State fro and in behalf of J.H. Sammons and
J. H. Sammons of the State of Texas for and in
consideration of the sum of One Dollar to me in hand paid or
secured to be paid do grant bargain sell and release to John B.
Stewart a certain tract of land comprising the interest of the
said J.H. Sammons and J.W. Sammons in a tract of
land known as the Mary Smith land which is part of the estate of
Samuel Andrews deceased said interest consisting of six acres
more or less and to be bounded as per a plat lately executed by
(J) W. Atkinson surveyor that is on the east by J.B. Stewart, on
the South by J.W. Beasley, on the west by E.B. Andrews and on
the North by Mary Smith. I do agree as attorney for the said
J.H. Sammons and J.W. Sammons to forever warrant
and defend said land to the said John B. Stewart his heirs
administrators executors and assigns against the claim of any
person or persons whatsoever claiming as heirs or assigns of
J.W. Sammons and J.H. Sammons. In witness whereof
hereto affix my hand and seal this the tenth day of January

the sum of (twenty) dollars to me in hand paid by John Garner,
Robert (Campbell) Henry (We_________) and Edward Hancil ___ the
same place have granted bargained sold and released by these
presents do grant bargain sell and release unto the named
trustees and their successors and assigns forever a certain
tract of land containing two and a half acres which is said of
for the use and purpose of building a Methodist Church and lying
on the North side of Lake swamp on the road leading from Camden
to Marion District. Together with all and singular the rights
(numbers) hereditraments and appurtenances to said premises
belonging in any wise incident or appertaining to have and hold
all singular the premises before mentioned with the said
trustees and their successors and assigns to warrant and forever

Sammons land in the back woods running 50 E to a stake corner

Richard Rolings Senr land to the beginning stake with the

Rollings decd to his son Louis W. Rollings decd and by his

In the Name of God, Amen. I Hansel Sammons being now sound in health and mind
and memory but calling to mind the mortality of my body And that it is
appointed unto all men once to die and after that to Judgement Do ordain make
and constitute this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following,
Viz. First, I recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it And my body
to be buried in a Christian form and order, And as to those earthly goods and
chattels with which it hath been pleased to God to bless me with I give and
bequeath in the following manner. First I will that all my just debts and all
necessary expenses be paid. Second, I give to my beloved wife Ann Sammons the
free and full enjoyment of all my freehold and real estate together with the
three horse creatures which I now possess and all of my stock of cattle, hogs,
sheep & goats except two cows to my daughter Susan Sammons and also two other
cows and calves to my daughter Winney Sammons or otherwise Winney Runnels and
all the rest of my property both real and personal to continue with my wife
during her natural lifetime and after her death to be equally divided amongst
her lawful heirs and further I do make and appoint my wife Ann Sammons Sole
Executrix to this my last will and testament or in case of her failure I do
ordain and appoint my Son James Sammons to be my Sole Executor to this my last
will and testament Signed, sealed, declared and published to be my last will
and testament revoking all other wills and testaments made by me heretofore
this 8th day of November And in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred
and Thirty One and in the Fifty-Sixth year of the American Independency.
