Mrs J Maurice Herring Dies from Pneumonia
Mrs Evelyn Tyler Herring, 29, wife of J
Maurice Herring, passed away at her home in West Dillon Wednesday morning at
5:35 after a week's illness of pneumonia. Her untimely death was a shock to
many friends and relatives. Mrs Herring was the daughter of W D Tyler and
the late Mrs Tyler. She was born in Marion County, moving here with her
parents several years ago. She was a fine Christian woman, devoting her life
to her home and her church work. She was a member of the Fidelis Class of
the First Baptist Church and a regular attendant. Surviving are her father,
her husband, and the following children; Gladys, Lucille, Sara, and Maurice,
Jr.; two sisters and four brothers; Mrs James Stanton, Mullins, Miss
Christine Tyler, Cecil, Herbert, Frank, and J D Tyler, Dillon. Funeral
services will be conducted by her pastor, Dr J A Ward, this afternoon at 3:30
at the late residence.
