Death Claims Mrs Mary Jane Herring
Mrs Mary Jane Herring, 70, widow of John Herring of the Baker's Mill
Section, formerly of Mount Zion, died at 11 o'clock Sunday night after an
illness of about three years, due to a stroke of paralysis.
Mrs Herring was a consistent member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and
attended to her church and home duties until stricken. She leaves a number
of friends who regret her passing.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at Mount Zion church
and interment was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Herring is survived by two sisters, Mrs Lucy Britt of Horry County,
and Mrs Amanda Jackson of Bennettsville.
The following acted as pallbearers: Coleman Herring, Murdick McInnis,
Maxwell Cook, Leon McKellar, Clarence Jordan, Mark McInnis.
