Death Claims R S Herring, aged 81

Mr R S Herring, 81 year old farmer of Dothan, suffered a stroke of paralysis Monday evening and died Tuesday morning at eight o'clock.

Mr Herring was a well known citizen of Dillon. He had farmed in the Dothan section forty-five years.

Funeral services were conducted by Dr Ward, pastor of First Baptist Church. The funeral was conducted at the home.

Mr Herring is survived by his wife, Mrs R S Herring, a brother, Jim Herring, Fork, a daughter, Mrs Bessie Stanton and two grand-children, Misses Marie and Jessie Louise Stanton of Latta. He was laid to rest in Dothan cemetery Wednesday.
