R B Herring, 74, at Dillon

Redin B Herring, 74, died here at his home early this morning after a 5 month illness resulting from a serious fall.

Mr Herring was a son of the late Edmond Bush and Salina Hamilton Herring and lived most of his life in Dillon County.

Survivors include 6 daughters, Miss Dorothy Herring of the home, Mrs Elizabeth Barfield of Dillon, Mrs Emy Lou Harpe of Louisville, Ky, Mrs Sara Mae Cashion of Charlotte, NC, Mrs Lola Stone of Jacksonville, Fla, and Mrs Myrtle Allen of Benson, NC; four sons, Gordon, Bill, Redin Jr, and Elax, all of Dillon; one brother, D M Herring of Dillon; two sisters, Mrs Melvinia Rogers and Mrs Eva Jane Jackson of Latta and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (shoud be Pleasant Grove) at 4pm Tuesday by the Rev W F Bost and assisted by the Rev Paul Chapman. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
