Mrs Dave Herring Dies At Age of 76

Mrs Annie Jane Herring, 76, died at her home at 5pm Friday after declining health of a number of years.

She was the widow of David B Herring, a life-long resident of Dillon,. and daughter of the late Levi and Adeline Coward of Jackson. (I think they meant to leave out the of...cgk).

Funeral services were conducted at 3pm Sunday from East Dillon Baptist Church by the Rev James T Chapman. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs Mollie Turbeville; one brother, Cornelius Jackson; three sons, David, Daniel, and Lemmie Monroe Herring; three daughters, Mrs Dunk Kirby and Mrs Annie Williamson of Dillon, and Mrs Hortense Owens of Baltimore, Md.; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
