Mrs. Herring, 59, of Dillon
Dillon. Dec 23 (special)--Mrs Pearlie Herring, 59, died at her home unexpectedly today while dressing to attend church.
She was the daughter of the late Henry Cook and Ida Parker Cook of Dillon County.
Survivors include two daughters. Mrs Inez Alford of McColl and Mrs Thelma Stones of Boonton, NJ; five sons, Gerald, Leo, and Willie of Boonton, NJ, Rufus Jr of Dillon, and Lenneau Herring of Laurinburg, NC; her father, Henry Cook of Dillon; four sisters, Mrs Ola Coxe, Mrs Bertie Owens, Mrs Lizzie Hyatt, and Mrs Aline Coates, all of Dillon; three brothers, Gary, James Edwin, and Carlisle Cook, all of Dillon.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3pm Monday from Dillon Church of God by the Rev Clyde Cox, assisted by the Rev Willie Lee of Laurinburg. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
