D A Herring, 35 of Mullins Dies
Mullins---May 20 (Special)---Dennis Allen Herring, 35 of Mullins, tobacco warehouse inspector, died today at the Mullins Hospital following an illness of two days.
Mr Herring was born in Dillon County, son of F M and Dannie Cook Herring. He moved to Mullins in 1930. He was a farmer, but for the past five years, had been employed by the Liggett, Myers Tobacco Company.
Survivors include his parents; his widow, the former Jacquwlyn Lewis; one son, Lewis Allen; one daughter, Sandra, both of the home; one brother, Bennett Herring of Mullins; three sisters, Mrs Leslie Lewis of Marion, and Mrs Dan Hayes and Mrs Harold T Sawyer of Mullins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3pm Monday from the First Baptist Church by the Rev W W Lancaster. Burial will follow in the Midway Cemetery.
The body will be at the church an hour before the service.
