Mrs Herring of Columbia Dies
Dillon-----Mrs Inez Herring, 37, of Columbia, died at the Columbia Hospital Thursday night.
She was the daughter of the late D W Murray Sr and Mrs Henrietta Shieder Murray of Moncks Corner. She was a niece of the late Arnold Murray of Orangeburg, the last living Civil War veteran in South Carolina.
Survivors include her husband, Ezra Herring; four sons, Ezra Jr., James, Robert, and Richard, all of Columbia; a brother, D W Jr., of Moncks Corner; a sister, Mrs James Creel of St George; her mother, Mrs Henrietta Murray; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs Essie Shieder.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm Saturday from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Dillon by the Rev R W Smith, assisted by the Rev D C Franklin of Capital Dew Baptist Church in Columbia.
