Elax Herring

Elax Herring, 51, died Sunday at a Dillon Hospital (assuming St Eugene since it is the only one in Dillon at that time).

He was the son of the late Redin and Lula J Herring. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2pm in the Dillon Church of God by the Rev C E Lambreth. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Surviving are three brothers, Gordon and Bill Herring, both of Dillon, and Redin Herring Jr of Tampa Florida; six sisters, Mrs Lula Stone of Jacksonville, NC, Mrs Dorothy Flowers of Hamer, Mrs Marlee (supposed to be Myrtle??) Allen of Benson NC, Mrs Sara Mae Cashion of Charlotte, NC, Mrs Emmy-Lou Harp of Louisville, Ky, and Mrs Elizabeth Barfield of Dillon.
