Derrick M Herring

Dillon--Derrick M Herring, 88, died Monday in a local rest home. He was the son ot the late Edmond and Slenia Herring.

Surviving are his wife, Carrier Herring; eight sons, Rowland, Charlotte; Linwood, with the US Army overseas; Kelly , Terryville, Conn; Talmadge, Jacksonville, Fla; Joseph, Thomasville, NC; Linnie, Summit Pa; Laufton, Gastonia NC; and Matthew Herring, Rockingham NC.; six daughters, Miss Bonnie Faye Herring, Mrs Violet Davis, and Mrs Barbara Tunstall of Dillon; Mrs Delphia Rogers, Springfield Va.; Mrs Maxine Wyand, Charlotte NC.; and Miss Pearl Herring, Clinton; and one sister, Mrs Melvinia Rogers , Latta.

Funeral services will be at 3:30pm Wednesday at Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.
