Cook rites are held Saturday
Phillip Cook, Jr, 67, died Thursday night in a hospital here after a
long illness.
Services were held Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with
interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Mr Cook was born in Dillon County, a son of the late Phillip Sr and
Martha Powers Cook. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his widow, Mattie Turbeville Cook, Dillon; a son,
Robert H Cook, Dillon; two daughters, Miss Mildred Faye Cook and
Mrs Margaret Scott, both of Dillon; two sisters, Mrs Bessie Blackmon, Dillon,
and Mrs Sara Carter, Latta; six grandchildren.
