Business Woman Mrs Herring Dies

Garden City---Mrs DeEtte Daniels Herring, 50, wife of John A Herring, died Monday at a Charleston hospital after a short illness.

Born in Dillon County, she was a daughter of Mrs Mamie Bethea Daniels and the late Nick Daniels, Sr. She was owner and operator of the Candlelight Motel in Garden City.

Surviving are her mother of Dillon; her husband of Garden City; four sons, Dwight N., John A Jr., and Bryan M. Herring, of Garden City, and the Rev Paul J Herring of Columbia; two brothers, Nick Jr., and George W Daniels of Dillon; two sisters, Mrs Christine Moody and Mrs Dorothy Mulholland of Dillon; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 1pm Wednesday at the Myrtle Beach Church of God and at 4 pm Wednesday at the Dillon Church of God. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Dillon.

Jackson'c Colonial Funeral Home, Dillon, is in charge.
