Raeford L Herring

Lake View---Raeford Leslie Herring, 62, died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness.

A son of the late Elget Thomas and Mary McKenzie Herring, he was born in Dillon County.

Services will be today at 3pm in the Meares Funeral Home in Mullins with burial in Barnesville Cemetery in Barnesville, NC.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs Nolie M Herring; three sons, Gerald L Herring of Florence, Johnnie Ray Herring of Panama City, Fla, and Donald Ray Herring of Lake View; a daughter, Mrs Paul H Hall of Parkton, NC; four brothers, Thomas and Joseph Herring of Wilmington, NC, Winston Herring of Goldsboro, NC, and James B Herring of Nashville, Tenn; and four sisters, Mrs Sam Harrelson of Fork, Mrs Myrtle Norton of Marion, Mrs Arthur Inman of Hope Mill, NC, and Mrs Jay Turner of Galivants Ferry.
