Homer James ROWELL

Homer James Rowell, age, 80, died Thursday, May 2, 2002 at his residence.

Mr. Rowell was born in Dillon, November 1, 1921, a son of the late Albert and Eva Norton Rowell. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church ans was a WWII veteran and a retired farmer.

He is survived by a son Andrew Bethea of Greenville, SC; daughters Christy (David) Floyd, Donna (Stewart) Smith and Amy (Tony) Hargrove all of Hamer,SC; brothers J.C. Rowell of Bennettsville,SC and Billy Rowell of Paducah, KY and a sister Vicky Cribb of Paducah, KY; and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers Gurney, Edward, Wheeler, Thomas, and Bobby Rowell; and sisters Eva Mae Sessions and Cassie Hill and nephew William Rowell.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Sunday, May 5, 2002, at Beulah Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Kannaday's Funeral Home of Dillon.

Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 2331 Harlees Bridge Road, Hamer,SC or Hospice of Pee Dee, 555 E. Cheves Street, Florence 29501.
