Little Zion Methodist Church Cemetery

Original listing by Billy Dew**(D), dated 4-30-1992, and updated by M. Gault Beeson. Amanda Price Beeson*** was responsible for the restoration of the Church and her son Gault has carried on with the preservation of the Church and Cemetery upkeep. Typed by Philip M. Price 2-2-2002. Church is located on the road between Zion and Temperance Hill, Marion County. No cross-reference as to location of grave or relationships were provided. Listings are alphabetical.

Little Zion Church, sometimes referred to as Old Zion, was constructed in 1866. The church was abandoned and had fallen into a severe state of disrepair when Mrs. Amanda Price Beeson (daughter of Hugh G. Price) took the initiative to restore the building and grounds in 1959. A memorial service is held annually. The marker in front of the church reads:

"Restored in memory of those who rest here."
