A FEW NOTES ABOUT THE 1830 FEDERAL CENSUS FOR MARION COUNTY:
- Marion District covered all of modern Dillon County (created 1910), all of Marion County,
and the eastern part of modern Florence County (created 1888).
- 1830 was the first census year that printed forms were issued by the government to enumerators.

Thanks to the generosity of Nancy Brister (bristern@datastar.net) and the permission of S-K Publications,
the 1820 census is viewable online as "virtual microfilm" (census image files).
The 1830 Marion County, South Carolina, Census contains 109 pages (census
images), numbered 01 (title page), then 02A through 56B.
There are no pages 26A and 26B on the microfilm. The "A" pages will contain the head of household names;
the "B" image is the right half of the page.
