The Galloways may here be mentioned, four of them. They are importations from Malborough, and our
county would not be hurt by many more such imporationns - James T., William, Samuel T. and Joseph Galloway
are their names. James T. Galloway married Miss Louisa Bethea, daughter of Levi and Mary Ann Bethea, just
after the war and has been in this county ever since his marriage. He has a considerable family, has
succeeded well in life. Has one son Henry. William a brother of James T. has bought land in upper Marion.
Samuel T. and Joseph Galloway bought land on Catfish, near Ellerbe's Crossing. Samuel married Johny Carmichel
and Joseph married a daughter of Elmore Allen of Marlbrough County.
