[lengthy obit] Died in Marion Dist., on Oct. 22, 1866 of typhoid fever, Capt. J.J. STUBBS, Sr., 63 years old. Born in Marlboro Co., S.C. Leaves wife and four children.
Married Nov. 14, 1866, Mr. E. A. BETHEA to Miss Ann Eliza GODBOLD, youngest daughter of Asa GODBOLD, all of this District.
Married in this District on 8th inst., Samuel FOXWORTH to Miss Sarah Ann ROGERS, both of Marion.
Funeral Sermon of the late Jos. D. BASS will be preached on the next Sabbath.
Wife of Mr. Jas. E. WATSON was burnt to death last Saturday in Brittons Neck.

Mrs. Hannah EVELEIGH seeks information regarding the fate of her husband, James EVELEIGH, Co. G., 25th S.C. Vol., wounded and taken prisoner at Five Forks, VA on April 1, 1863. He was a Master Mason.
Mrs. Harriet E. JOHNSON of Covington, GA seeks information regarding her husband, Samuel JOHNSON, Co. G., First GA Regulars, last seen on train at Florence, S.C., for Sumter Court House, soon after the surrender - five foot 11 inches, slender built, dark complexion, about 30 years old.
