Foxworth - Mary S. Foxworth, nee Woodbury, was born in Marion County, S.C. November 19, 1853, where she lived and where her earthly life closed May 26, 1904, age 50 years, 7 months, and 7 days. She was married to Mr. R.E. Foxworth of same county October 19, 1876, who survives her. Her health had been failing for some time. During her last illness her sufferings were extreme and protracted, but she endured it patiently, and with calm resignation, awaited her Heavenly Father's bidding. She leaves husband and several children behind who sorrow as those whose fondest earthly tie has been broken, for, who can fill a mother's place! Still, they have a lively hope of meeting her bye and bye whose faith was in Him and hath said: "Whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall neer die." One who knew her life for several years speaking to the writer said: "It will be hard to fill her place." She was a Methodist, a true friend, a faithful Sunday school teacher, a good neighbor, a loving mother, and a devoted wife. May God comfort her loved ones who are left behind.
