Daniel Herring

Marion--Daniel Herring, 65, died Thursday at his home near Marion.

He was the son of the late John David and Amanda White (McWhite?cgk) Herring of Dillon Cty. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 pm Saturday from Smith Brothers Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev Robert E Perdue. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Church Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs Ruby Carter Herring; six daughters, Mrs Claudia Yarborough of Halifax, NC, Mrs Mary Kate Floud of Charleston, Mrs Guenivere Daniels of Charleston, Mrs Berline Hicks of Johnsonville, Mrs Velma Brown of Marion and Miss Vera Louise of the home; two sons, David Legrand Herring of Charleston and Daniel E Herring, Jr of the home; and two sisters, Mrs Furman Sweat of Florence County, and Mrs Liston Nobles of Marion.
