Mrs Florence Bethea
BETHEA---Mrs Florence Bethea, nee Fore, was born in Marion County, August 22, 1856, and died May 9, 1900. She was married January 17, 1878 to McD Bethea.
Sister Bethea was a good woman, full of kindness and sympathy. In early life, she gave her heart to Jesus and united with the Baptist Church, in which communion she died. No man had a truer and more faithful wife; children no tenderer or more devoted mother. She lived for her husband and children-no higher interests save the church called forth her best services. Her illness was long and painful. The writer was often with her, and never left her sick room without feeling stronger in faith and with a higher purpose to live for God. Life like hers was a positive force and must be greatly missed. Her resignation and testimony gave assurance of a blessed immortality. Husband, nine children and several affectionate brothers and sisters mourn her departure. She was buried from Catfish Church. Her pastor, Rev Mr Satterwhite, and the writer conducted her funeral. The blessing of heaven rest upon the loved ones.
