Mrs Kate J Bethea
The Women's Society of Christian Services of the Nichols Methodist Church, Nichols, SC., wish to offer this tribute of loving memory to Mrs Kate J Bethea, whom God called to her eternal home on January 17, 1952. In her passing we have lost a very faithful member. She was loved and honored by all who knew her. Her Christian character and cheerful personality won her many friends.
The welfare of others was ever foremost in her heart. She had the courage to stand for all she believed right. Constantly she worked to help make our church a truly Christian influence in our community.
She was a Sunday School teacher for several years and was a charter member of the W S C S. She served as president of the Missionary Society for twenty years, which has a circle, the Kate Bethea, in her honor.
In appreciation of her life among us we offer the following resolutions:
First, in her passing, our church has lost one of its members whose service, devotion, and loyalty have been an inspiration to the entire church.
Second, that her Christian influence will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and we thank God for the memory of those traits of character which made her dear to us.
Third, that a page be recorded in our Minutes in memory of her, a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family, and one to the South Carolina Methodist Advocate.
