Charles James

Hartsville---Services for Charlie P James, 71, will be held at 2pm Thursday at St John Wesley Methodist Church, with burial in Mount Hope Cemertery of Florence. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 toady at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.

Mr James died Monday, October 12, 1992. Born in Marion County, he was a son of the late Henry and Annie Cooper James. He retired from Sonoco Products Co., and was a member of Hartsville Masonic Lodge 173, Scottish Rite, Omar Temple of the Shrine and John Wesley Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy James; sons, Charles and Frank James, both of Hartsville; daughters, Louise Amerson of Timmonsville and Deloris Ann Ford of Oakland Md.; a brother, H E James of Florence; sisters, Estelle Howard, Grace Rogers, and Virginia Shumake, all of Florence, Sallie Gardner of Darlington, and Doris Hazelton of Summerton; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
