Southern Christian Advocate issue dated October 23, 1913 Vol 77 #19 page 15 col 3 From the Sandor Teszler Library at Wofford College:
Died, September 30, 1913, Little Bannie Maude, daughter of Mr and Mrs David C Rogers, of Britton's Neck. Dannie Maude was born October 24, 1909. She was the light of her home, a sweet child, a beautiful bud plucked from earth and transplanted to bloom in heaven. We laid her to rest in the family cemetery to await the resurrection morn. Like King David we know the child can't come back to us but, blessed be the name of the Lord, we can go to it. We bow in humble submission to Him who doeth all things well.
"One precious to our hearts has gone
The voice we loved is stilled:
The place made vacant in our home
Can never more be filled".
