WILL of ANN BROWN
In the name of God, Amen
I Ann Brown of South Carolina Marion District do hereby make and
constitute this my last will and Testament.
Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved soninlaw Emanuel Martin one
negro man named Simon, also one tract of land containing five hundred and
fifty acres according to a survey of Hugh Godbold Depty Surveyor made first
January 1836 said tract of land was originally granted to Edward Brown Dec'd,
the Sixth day of December one thousand Eight Hundred and two for five Hundred
and fifty four acres - after Emanuel Martin pays to my soninlaw Nathan
Garrell whatever I may be due him as heir of the Estate of Edward Brown
Dec'd, I hereby constitute and appoint Emanuel Martin Executor to this my
last will and testament and I hereby in the presence of these witnesses
declare this to be my will this 6th day of November 1837-
