WILL OF JOSEPH CLARK
Marion District ) Know all men by these presence that I Joseph Clark Planter at Little Bluff
South Carolina ) being of sound mind do make this my last Will and testament Item 1st
I will my soul to my God who gave it to me item 2nd It is my will & desire
that all my Just debts be paid Item 3rd It is my will that my beloved Wife Cynthia
Clark shall have and Keep all of my property her natural life and at her death I desire that
the property that may remain shall be equally divided between my brother Henry Clarkes children
and the children of my wifes sister Nancy Smith that is to say John Smith and Nancy Smith shall
have one half and the children of my brother Henry Clark of Marlboro District shall have the
other half It is moreover my will and desire that John J Gibson do Act as my Executor with all
the powers that the Laws of Executors does or may give
This 12th day of April 1838 Signed and sealed in presence
