                                  WILL OF

                            DARLING WHITE


In the name of God, Amen.  I, Darling White, of the district of Marion, and

State of South Carolina, being infirm in body, but of sound and disposing

mind and memory, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs whilst

I have strength and Capacity to do so, do make and publish this my last

Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void, all former Wills by

me, at any time heretofore made.

Imprimis: It is my will and desire that my Executors, hereinafter to be

named, do pay all my just debts and funeral expenses, out of my estate.

Item.  I give and devise to my daughter Jane Wiggins, a tract of land con-

taining sone hundred and fifty acres, bounded on the south, by John Hasel-

den's land, extending on the East and North, as far as the lines of my land

go; and separated from the balance of of my land on which I live, by the

nearest crofs fence to Elias Wiggins, which now divides said Wiggins from 

my enclosure.  I also give and bequeath to my said daughter Jane Wiggiins

to cows and calves and one feather bed and furniture, which she now has in

pofsefsion, to her and her heirs forever.  Item, I give and bequeath to my 

daughter Catherine White, one mare Colt; also one feather bed and furniture,

and three cows and Calves, on her attaining the age of twenty one years, or

day of marriage, to her and her heirs forever  Item: I wish my beloved wife

Elizabeth White to remain on my plantation, and to have the use of the bal-

ance of my furniture and plantation tools, not herein particularly named,

also the use of as much land as may be necefsary for her comfortable sup-

port, as long as she shall live, or remain my widow; I also give and be-

queath to my said Wife Elizabeth, my negro man Jim, two houses, three cows

and calves, and my stock of hogs, for and during the term of her natural

life or Widowhood as aforesaid, but no longer.  Item, I give and bequeath

to my son Wesley White, two cows and calves, one feather bed and furniture,

and one mare: and on the death or marriage of my said Wife Elizabeth, I

give, devise and bequeath to my said son Wesley all the balance of my

land, and the said negro man Jim. to him and his heirs forever.  Item.  I

give to my daughter Mary Anderson, one dollar.  Item.  I give and bequeath

all the residue of my estate, not hereinbefore disposed of, to be equally

divided between my son Wesley, and my daughters, Jane and Catherine, share

and share alike.  Item, should my said son Wesley, or either of my said

daughters depart this life with out leaving lawful ifsue, in that case

it is my exprefs will and desire, that the property given to such Child,

be equally divided between the survivor, or survivors of them, the said

last mentioned Wesley, Jane, and Catherine, to them, and their heirs for-

ever.

And I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint, my friends Benjamin Holt

and Herod Stackhouse, to be executors of this my last Will and Testament.

               In Witnefs whereof I, the said Darling White, have to this my

last Will and Testament, set my hand and Seal, this twentieth day of August
