South Carolina ) In the Name of God Amen I Nathaniel. Whittinten,Senr of

Marion District ) the state and district aforsaid being in perfect health
of body of sound mind and in my Rite mind and memory thanks be given unto
God Calling to mind the mortallity of my body and knowing that it is appoint-
ed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my Last will and testa-
ment first of all Recommending My Soal to God that gave it and my body to be
decently buried at the discretion of my Executors and as toutching sutch
worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to blefs with in this life I
give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form first
of all I give unto my well beloved Wife Nancy Whittington one hundred dollars
secondly I give to my b eloved/daughter Hannah Murfee five dollars Thirdly I give to
beloved daugter Elizabeth Dunnam five dollars. Fourthly I give to my be-
loved daughter Nancy Hayes five dollars fifthly I give to my beloved Son James
Whittington five dollars sixthly I give to my beloved son Nathaniel Whit-
tingtonJun, all the balance of my property of Whatsoer it may Consists of both
Real and perishable I Constitute Make and ordain Nathaniel. Whittington.Jun my
son And William Taylor senr. my Executors to this my last Will and testament
Revoking and making void all other Wills by me hereto before made In witnefs
Whereof I have Enterchangeably set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of
February and in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty
seven and in the Sixtieth second year of Americas Independancy--
