Isaac Johnson Parish son of James Henry Parish & Christian Johnson
Many believe his name to be Jay but John Parrish a descendant  says that one of Issac's children's birth certificate list his middle name as Johnson ( his mother's maiden name).  I believe that he went by the name Isaac J. thus giving the impression that his middle name was Jay.   Isaac's father James was a Confederate Solider and son of Alfred and Clara Spears who is mentioned on page 119 of the History of Marlboro County by J.A.W. Thomas
