• 1737 Abercromby Land Map
  This aerial photo of the southern tip of Marlboro County, South Carolina near Dillon County line [shown], highway I-95 and the Great Pee Dee River [shown] has superimposed on it [in red] the boundaries of a survey plat for a tract of 980 acres of land certified on 23 October 1736 for James Abercromby (1708-1775), who was then Crown-appointed attorney general of the province. This tract was granted to James Abercromby on 11 May 1737.

• Captain J. R. Parker's Map of Marlboro County
  Exact date is unknown but from households and other data, it is estimated to be c.1840s-1850s. This is an excellent map with lots of good information and surnames on it.

• 1779 Map of South Carolina (offsite, opens new window)
  This map from the U. of Georgia's Rare Maps Collection is truly a treasure. It shows districts and parishes and waterways.

• 1825 MILLS ATLAS MAP OF MARLBOROUGH DISTRICT
  These maps are wonderful and if you're doing Marlboro research, you'll want a copy of this one. Names homesteads, mills, etc.
