Farm Tractor Accident Fatal to McColl Man
Bennettsville---A 58-year-old McColl man was killed Tuesday when the farm tractor he was driving tipped over, pinning him under the vehicle near Bennettsville.
Dewey Hargrove was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital, following the 8:00 am mishap, according to F M Stanton, Marlboro County coroner.
Stanton said he has ruled the death accidental.
Mr Hargrove was born in Marlboro County.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Allie Holmes Hargrove; four sons, Donnie, Junior, and Ronnie Hargrove of the home, and Jimmy Hargrove of Clio; six daughters, Misses Gracie, Lois, and Rosie Hargrove of the home, Mrs Kattie M Clark of Clio, Mrs Mary Jane Hunt of Dillon County, and Mrs Alice Clark of Bennettsville; three brothers, A C Hargrove of Bennettsville, and Benny Hargrove of McColl and Boyd Hargrove of Rock Hill; a sister, and 17 grandchildren.
Services will be 3pm Thursday in Hickory Grove United Methodist Church.
Rogers Funeral Home is in charge.
