Will of Tobias Johnson In the name of god Amen I Tobius Johnson being of sound mind and perfect memory blessed be god for the same do on the 5th day of november and in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one do make and ordain this my last will and testament in the manner and form following Viz) I give and Bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret all of my lands and tenaments (sic) together with the house and improvements thereon and all my house hold and kitchen furnature (sic) except such as shall hereafter be mentioned together with all my stock of cattle, hogs and sheep and horses with the Exception of one for my son Daniel when he becomes to the age of twenty one and to my daughter Caroline for her to have an Equal proportion of the land and stock to be paid her in money as soon as can be be (sic) collected Except the horses and I forther (sic) Desire for the rest of my daugters (sic) Namely harriet, anny, lucy, Jane and margaret one feather bed Each to be pointed out by my wife. I do further Request that the lands and stocks Except the horses shall be valued and that my Daughter caroline to Receive an Equal proportion of the same I do give all my crop of corn cotton (sic) fodder and peas and such hogs as are up for the present year and all of the money and notes and Accompts (sic) that is due or will hereafter Become Due to my wife margaret after all of my Debts is paid all of the above named articles to remain my wifes (sic) her natural life and then to be Equally Divided Amangs (sic) the rest of my heirs Except caroline wich (sic) is to Receive her Equal share of the above Named property after all of said Debts is paid and as to all of the farming and woking (sic) tools and cart and potatoes to be my wifes (sic) during her Natural life. I do farther nominate Margaret my wife my sole and lawfull (sic) Executor to this my last will and Testament. [Additional Notes: Probate papers were filed in 1870 which identified the daughters, Caroline, wife of Isaac Brigman: Lucy, wife of Alexander Williams; and Margaret, wife of Solomon Quick. Son, Daniel had died by 1870 leaving 3 children.]
