State of South Carolina		In the name

Marlborough District		of God Amen  

I Elizabeth Peterkin (alis Evans) of the State 

and District afore said do hereby make this 

my Last will and testament in the manner 

following.  To my son John A Evans I give 

and bequethe a negro fellow by the name of 

Frank and all my other negroes Vis  Patune (Satune?)  

Sapho  Lolly  George  William  Charles  John and 

the increase if any.  To my four Daughters 

Vis  Catherine McLeod  Lucia Thompson  Elizabeth 

Huggins  and  Ellen Thomas to be equally divided 

with the exception of twenty dollars out of Lucia 

Thompsons part which is to go to Catherine 

McLeod and to my three (?) grand Daughters 

Elizabeth McLeod  Ann Huggins (name scratched out) & Frances Thomas 

(the following is squeezed into the space between 2 lines)
 
and my daughter Elizabeth Huggins

I give and bequethe to each one feather bed 

and furniture and to my daughter Susan 

C. Bridges I give and equal part of my 

bedd cloathes 		Signed Sealed in the 

preasants of		             her

Marlborough District		
                                Personally appeared before me Moses E Coxe, who being
duly sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God saith that he saw Elizabeth Peterkin,
Sign, Seal, publish, pronounce & declare this written instrument of writing as and for
her last Will and Testament that she, the said Elizabeth Peterkin was then of sound and
disposing mind, Memory and understanding to the best of the deponents knowledge
and belief, and that Anner Pearson and Elizabeth McLeod, together with this deponent
signed their names as witnefses to the same, in the presence of each other and at the
request and in the presence of the Testatria.

Sworn to & signed before me
this 4th day of November 1833			M. E. Coxe
