Baldwin, Marcus Lauriston ( M L ), born about 1818 in New York. He was captured at "Penns Bridge" outside Orangeburg by elements of Sherman's forces, and was sent to Pt. Lookout, MD as a POW. He was a farmer in 1880 in Zion, Orangeburg County, SC.
