Garland, Ransom Barfield, was born 24 Oct 1821 in White Plains, Cesterfield County, son of Jesse & Mary Crow Garland. He was married on 9 Dec 1852 to Isabella Susannah Frierson born 4 Sep 1833 at Shiloh, Sumter County. daughter of John Frierson Jr. & Catherine Lavender. A farmer in 1880 in New Zion, Clarendon County, he died 20 Jan 1892 at Sardinia, Clarendon County. Both Ransom & his wife Isabella are buried at Old Brick Church Cemetery, Clarendon County.

Gibson, Benjamin Reese, born on 17 February 1824, died on 17 January 1907. Married Margaret Walker on 6 January 1848 who died on 8 January 1900. He married to Josephine Gardner on 13 November 1900. A farmer in Sammy Swamp, Clarendon County in 1880, BR served in the S.C. House of Representatives in 1882. BR and Margaret are buried at Home Branch Baptist Church, just outside of Manning.
