Fred Watson, 73, dies in Mullins
Mullins---Fred Wallace Watson, Sr., 73, died Wednesday in a Florence hospital after a long illness.
Born in Marion County, he was a son of the late Stephen L and Rebecca Lane Watson. A retired farmer, he was a tobacconist who retired after 40 years on tobacco markets of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky. He was formerly employed by the Marion County ASCA office and worked with the Marion County Tax Commission.
Services will be 3pm Friday in the Tranquil Methodist Church.
