Sellers ( Sellars ), Philip A., 1st Lieutenant, Enlisted as a Sergeant on April
13, 1861 for a period of twelve months. He was wounded September 20, 1863, and
from October 1863 to February 1864 was in the hospital. He was wounded again
April 29, 1864. On September 13, 1864, he was captured in Winchester, Virginia.
He was not released until June 16, 1865, after taking the Oath of Allegiance.
Died 14 Feb 1924 and is buried Old Douglas Family Cemetery, Ruby, SC.
